Dental Training
The National Minority AIDS Education Training Center (NMAETC) under the mandate of training the big six (physicians, dentist, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and pharmacists) delivers Preceptorships, workshops, consultations and lectures to the dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants and other healthcare providers. NMAETC provides a unique service to dental and other healthcare professionals by presenting ways to improve the oral health of the HIV/AIDS patients.
NMAETC continues to demonstrate outstanding leadership in activities of (Level I- lectures, Level II- workshops, Level III- preceptorships, Level IV- Consutlations, Level V- technical assitance) dental trainings for healthcare providers nationwide. Close affiliations with local, regional and national dental associations (RTF dental society, Unity Health Clinic, Whitman Walker Clinic, Howard University Dental College, Pennsylvania MidAtlantic AETC, NY/NJ AETC, Southeast AETC, National Dental Association and National Dental Hygiene Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentists and National Hispanic Association) have placed our dental staff in key positions to provide a variety of dental trainings and associated programs to all healthcare providers.
